New legislation is changing how Buy Now, Pay Later products can be offered in the Netherlands and Belgium. We're looking for an experienced Process Analyst to help redesign customer onboarding and credit-related processes for one of the largest e-commerce platforms in the Benelux.

This is not a traditional process improvement role. You'll help shape how customers are onboarded, how credit decisions are supported, and how regulatory requirements are translated into practical, customer-friendly processes. Working closely with Product, Risk, Legal, Customer Service and Engineering, you'll play a key role in delivering a compliant and scalable BNPL proposition.

Responsibilities Credit & Onboarding Process Analyst (FinTech) - Temp

In this role, you are central to designing and implementing crucial financial processes. You ensure that everything is smooth, compliant, and future-proof from start to finish.

  • Design and improve end-to-end customer onboarding and credit-related processes.
  • Translate regulatory and legal requirements into practical, scalable process designs.
  • Define decision flows involving external credit registries and customer verification.
  • Analyse and improve exception handling ("unhappy flows") and manual intervention processes.
  • Ensure processes are measurable, auditable and future-proof.
  • Work closely with Product, Risk, Legal, Engineering and Customer Service to deliver solutions that balance compliance, operational efficiency and customer experience.
  • Identify process risks and make recommendations for improvement.

We are looking for a skilled professional with a strong background in process analysis and a pragmatic, customer-focused mindset. The ideal candidate meets the following qualifications:

You'll probably recognise yourself in several of the following:

  • Experience designing or improving business processes within a regulated financial environment.
  • Background in payments, banking, lending, consumer credit, fintech or financial risk.
  • Comfortable translating regulatory requirements into operational processes.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills and able to work across Product, Risk, Legal and Technology.
  • Analytical, pragmatic and able to work independently in an evolving environment.
  • Experience with customer onboarding, credit assessment, KYC/KYB, lending operations or risk processes is a strong advantage.
  • Fluent in English; Dutch is a plus.

Offer Credit & Onboarding Process Analyst (FinTech) - Temp

This assignment is located in Utrecht and runs from 13 July 2026 until 30 October 2026. 40 hours per week is desired, 36 hours is negotiable.

Please note that we are unable to contract ZZP professionals for this role. Employment will be through Independent Flex on a flexible contract, with a gross monthly salary ranging from €5000 to €6000 (based on 40 hours per week). Applicants must be based in the Netherlands and fully eligible to work!
