Job profile
You will report to the director of data, analytics and AI, and will manage multiple data product managers (with expected growth in span of management).
- Strategic Ownership of Data Products: Take full ownership of the enterprise data product strategy, continuously evolving it to align with the company's DA&AI and overall product direction.
- Cultivate and Lead Data Product Talent: Build, support, and scale a high-performing team of Data Product Managers responsible for a portfolio of domain and cross-domain data products.
- Uphold Data Product Excellence: Define and implement robust standards for data product quality, accessibility, lifecycle management, security, and regulatory compliance.
- Strategic Prioritization for Reusability: Drive the strategic prioritization of high-value, reusable data products, thereby reducing duplication and enhancing efficiency across domains.
- Embed Data Product Mindset: Proactively embed data product management best practices—including vision setting, roadmapping, defining contracts, ensuring adoption, and managing lifecycles—across all Tech & Data teams.
- Key Advisor on Data & AI: Act as a critical senior strategic partner to the Director of Data, Analytics & AI and other leaders, offering insights and guidance on data and AI enablement.
- Orchestrate Stakeholder Alignment: Ensure effective and productive collaboration with essential teams including Data Platform & Engineering, Data Stewards, Enterprise Architecture, and Product Management.
- Drive Organizational Evolution: Spearhead change management initiatives and foster capability development within the dynamic data product organization.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in product leadership roles, preferably within complex organizations.
- A combination of data and product management experience.
- Proven experience leading data-as-a-product initiatives or large-scale data product transformations within complex organizations.
- Ability to blend strategic vision with practical execution and demonstrate strong people leadership.
- Comfortable operating in ambiguous environments and shaping new operating models.
- Possess a robust product mindset specifically applied to data, platforms, and analytics.
- Deep understanding of data governance, compliance, and quality, with the ability to integrate them effectively without hindering team progress.
- Skilled in executive-level influence and aligning stakeholders across diverse domains and disciplines.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking capability, with the ability to differentiate between critical priorities and secondary matters.
- Experience within a tech-driven organization is a plus.
Offer
A great temp-to-perm position in Utrecht with hybrid working possible. The salary range for this role is between €10.000 - €11.000 gpm based on 40h per week. Start date is asap, initially till the end of 2026. After that, you will receive a direct contract with the client.
