Job profile
What you'll do:
- Design, build, and maintain high-performance data pipelines and services, primarily using Rust and Scala;
- Configure, extend, and operate log and metrics tooling to serve customer needs;
- Manage the complete lifecycle of services, from design and development through deployment, operation, and continuous improvement;
- Ensure the reliability and availability of services through robust operational practices, including incident response and automation;
- Drive automation initiatives to streamline operations and enhance efficiency.
Requirements
What do you bring?- Strong software engineering skills in Rust and/or Scala;
- Experience CI/CD and DevOps ways of working;
- Experience with the Grafana LGTM stack (Loki, Grafana, Tempo, Mimir) and Logstash;
- Familiarity with Kafka and streaming data architectures, along with Kubernetes;
- Knowledge of certificate management (TLS/mTLS) for proxies and networking fundamentals (DNS, routing, firewalls);
- Fluent, professional-level English; Dutch strongly preferred.
Offer
A great assignment in Amsterdam, for a minimum of 2 months, for 40 hours per week. This position is open to both freelance/self-employed individuals and a flexible contract through Independent Recruiters, with a maximum rate of €100 per hour for freelancers/self-employed or a salary of between € 6.800 to €7.800 within a flexible contract. This is a hybrid role requiring you to be present at the office in Amsterdam at least 1 day per week with Friday being the fixed office day. As well as once a month in the Rotterdam office: department update and lunch.
